Customer redress payouts far outpace UK FCA fines

In 2024 the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) fined 27 firms a total of £176 million. Four firms, however, agreed to compensate customers over a half billion pounds. H20 Asset Management and HSBC repaid customers £207.7 million and £185 million respectively.
